Avocado Vase

Step-by-step instructions:
1. Carefully remove the avocado pit from the fruit and rinse it thoroughly.
2. Fill the vase with water until it reaches just below the rim.
3. Place the avocado pit on the opening, with the pointed end facing up and the flat end touching the water.
4. Place the vase in a warm, bright spot with indirect sunlight.
5. Change the water every 2–3 days to keep it fresh.
6. After a few weeks, roots will begin to form, followed by a stem and leaves.
7. Once the plant is well-developed, it can be transferred to soil if needed.

Helpful tips:
• If mold appears, rinse the seed and change the water immediately.
• Mycorrhizal fungi can form on avocado roots. These fungi are beneficial as they live in symbiosis with the roots and promote the absorption of water and nutrients. If many of these fungi appear on the roots, it can also be an indication that the plant should be repotted.
• If algae forms in the vase, 1–2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide in the vase water can help reduce algae growth and keep the water clear longer.
